Is it Time Yet, Is it Time I Can't Wait...

Anybody who knows me, knows I absolutely love Target. It's my favorite store. I love it. I go a lot. I love it. I think their commercials are very clever. I am a big fan of that blonde woman who gets so excited about Target's two day sale-I may be the only one. I love her. I get her excitement as I feel that same way about Target. I love it. THIS season though, they have outdone themselves with the following ad... I love it! Enjoy!!!!

Getting Ready for Christmas

Finally getting around to decorating the house. It's taking forever this year. We got the tree up on Sunday, but didn't get it decorated until this evening. Here are some pictures of some of my favorite Christmas decorations.
I love this cathedral. It's from Southern Living, which I think is under a new name...Willow something? I have it out all year long because I love it so. I also love those little snowmen in front of it. They are made from jars and jar lids.
Gnome Mickey made a new friend.
Even Maya got into the decorating. She's so cute.

I usually have these jars on my fireplace mantel. I change the items inside for the seasons. I decided to put them in my greenhouse window this holiday season.

I'll post pictures of our finished tree tomorrow.

Epcot, World Showcase and Misc.

This is my last Disney World post. I have organized all of my pictures, and now I really need to finish unpacking. We got back late Sunday, and then life happened. It's been a busy week.
Epcot-that big ball is Spaceship Earth, a ride.
The Monorail and the Upside Down Fountain.
Kevin the Viking, enjoying a beer with a troll, in the World Showcase's Norway.
Part of the United Kingdom. Look, I managed to get a picture without a jillion people in the way!
Germany! Not so lucky with the people here though. I think it was first thing in the morning, when we were in United Kingdom, so that's why there weren't any people yet.
China. I love that round building. The ceiling is incredible!
See? Incredible.

This is inside the gift shop at the Polynesian. I love it. Clever.

Kilimanjaro Safari

The Kilimanjaro Safari is AWESOME! Kevin and I rode this one 6 times! It's different every time, and amazing. The animals are super close.
I love this picture. Can you see her tongue? Cute huh? I love the 12x zoom on my SLR camera. I love giraffes. They and monkeys are my favorite animals.
At least this hippo isn't wiggling its ears-according to the Jungle Cruise, that's bad news.
A cheetah! Isn't it nice the way it posed for me?
The female lion was tired. She needs her beauty sleep of between 18-20 hours a day.

The male lion finally became a little more active, but on this day, it was close to the last truck, so it was most likely his dinner time. He was pacing back and forth. He is so cool.

It's your lucky day, because it's a two post day!!! Animal Kingdom pictures are just below this post. Tomorrow Epcot and Miscellaneous things. Excited???

Animal Kingdom

I promise that tomorrow will be my last Disney World post. You are probably sick of me. Here are some of my favorite shots from our visits to Animal Kingdom. Kevin and I love this park!
Freezing in Florida. It was SO cold while we were there. I had to purchase gloves as I didn't bring any, and I could have used a hat and scarf as well. Under my windbreaker are three more layers of clothing, and I was still cold.
This is one of the two best rides in the Animal Kingdom. Expedition Everest. It's so much fun! The other best ride is the safari.
Uh oh! The track seems to have been destroyed by a Yeti. Oh what a bummer.
I am super proud of this picture. I really have no idea what kind of bird this little guy is (I didn't pay attention to the paper guide thing provided), but he/she is beautiful. I love that my camera really picked up the colors and details of the bird.
Look at this! This little girl is almost 10 months old. Have you ever seen anything cuter? She's lying next to her dad. He wasn't that thrilled to have her around while he was trying to sleep. If you check out the link for the rest of my photos, you will see the dad, sleeping. He looks like a dad sleeping on a couch.

The owl on the Tree of Life. I love owls, and I love the detail of this owl.

Magic Kingdom!

The Magic Kingdom, the Disneyland of Disney World. I love it. Many of the rides are not as good as the original rides at Disneyland, but they are fun nonetheless! Their Peter Pan ride is better than Disneyland's though-it's longer. Magic Kingdom is also the trickiest park to get into. It involves parking in the lot, a possible lot tram, and then taking either a ferry boat or the Monorail over. If you stay at one of the Magic Kingdom resorts, you cut out the parking lot part as you can hop on the Monorail (with everyone else and their entire extended families) and head over.
The entrance into the parking area. If you plan on going, go early. Your parking spot will be much closer to the transportation center. They have TONS of parking, and it goes way far away from the park. You have to take the shuttle if you go late, and have to park so far out.
Balloons! I wonder how many of these balloons they sell each day, and how many get popped or lost? Some of them aren't cheap either.
Walt and Mickey! It all started with a man and a mouse.

Cinderella's Castle. It's so tall!
Look at how cute! Bush Mickey and Minnie!
I love the look of all of the stuffed toys. I should have tidied up that purple row of Princess Minnies though.
The groundsmen painted pictures in water, on the sidewalks. Super cool.

Kevin and a tiki. We went to see the Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management show. I hate it. It's not the original show, and it's dumb. I wanted to skip it, but we needed to sit for awhile, and warm up, so we sat through it. It's too bad too, because the line and the outside of the attraction are awesome!

We also took a tour Keys to the Kingdom. It was really good-4 1/2 hours, and we got lunch! We got to ride our own Jungle Cruise boat-learning some secrets about the ride. For example, in the scene with the natives trying to shoot their spears at the boats, you can hear them talking to each other in native tongue, but if you listen closely, one of them says, "I love disco." It's true, I heard it myself! We also got a tour of the Utilidoors! The Magic Kingdom is actually built on the second floor as Florida is at sea level, and Walt really wanted underground tunnels. So the "first" floor is underground. There's a system of corridors that run under the entire park where cast members can travel to and fro, keeping the theming at each land authentic-no cowboys walking through Tomorrowland etc, which would wreck the magic. We couldn't take any pictures, but it was awesome!!

If you want to see more Magic Kingdom pictures, CLICK HERE. I picked the best ones, but I took a TON more pictures.

Oh yeah, keep reading. This is a double post day. Tomorrow I will post Animal Kingdom and the Kilimanjaro Safari pictures.

Hollywood Studios

Of all of the parks at Disney World, we tend to spend the least amount of time at Hollywood Studios. It's got some great rides: Tower of Terror, Rock n' Roller Coaster, Toy Story. It has some good shows: Indiana Jones, Little Mermaid, Fantasmic, but then it also has attractions that just aren't that great: The Great Movie Ride. We have never spent more than half a day at a time.
I like this big Mickey Sorcerer's hat with mouse ears. It's the castle of Hollywood Studios. The "hot dog" if you will.
Kevin getting his Star Wars on! We couldn't ride Star Tours as the ride is being refurbished-finally a new movie. Disneyland is getting the same refurbishment as well.
Look at how perfect the weather was for my picture. Foggy, cold, and an ideal setting for the Hollywood Tower.
This ride, Rock n' Roller Coaster, is awesome. It's the only ride with an inversion at any Disney World park. The first morning we went to the studios, it was down all morning. We were able to ride the second morning we went to the park though.
At night, the Osbourne Family (no, not Ozzy's family) Lights are in full swing. They dance to music. It's pretty spectacular. It's also extremely crowded.
Lots and lots of lights. Kevin said they start putting these lights up in August!
