Kevin and I are doing an excellent job of wearing our kids out. We have been on the go, seeing stuff, since we arrived in New York, on Thursday. They are exhausted.
Yesterday we went to the American Museum of Natural History. Quinn is throwing the bone, for Rex, but that's not Rex (Night at the Museum). Right place, wrong dinosaur.
After the museum, and a slight mishap with a step, we rested outside of the MET. Quinn scaled a wall and pretended he was sleeping. He just needed a cup to earn some money!
We took a taxi down to Rockefeller Center, where we went to the Top of the Rock. This was our view. Spectacular view of the Empire State Building!
The boys were happy to take in the view too. Look mom, we tried to fix Riley's hair in this picture for you.
We visited the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue, and then went to FAO Schwarz, with our good soldiers. We then took a taxi to the East Village to visit a store called Toy Tokyo. I was hoping they would have some Blythe dolls. Nope. The boys found stuff to buy. Quinn is going home with quite an assortment of Pokemon plushies and Angry Birds. He is out of money. Riley is still spending as well.
We were back at the hotel a little after 4 today. Kevin and the boys stayed and rested. I went out in search of bead stores (I found something like 7 of them!!). I ended up in Times Square and then I walked back down to 34th street, and went to Macy's. Kevin and Quinn met me at Macy's for dinner-we ate at their grill. I had a Lava Flow drink. It was yummy. I had food too, but the drink was memorable. Riley stayed in the hotel. He's not feeling very well. See? Exhausted. Those boys will sleep for a week when we get home.
