Yesterday we went on a hike with the scouts. We went to the Marin Headlands, across the Golden Gate Bridge. It's an old military facility, complete with bunkers from World War 2. It was pretty cold when we got there, but we all warmed up once we started walking.
Here's Riley, being a good scout. He's pointing out Poison Oak to everyone. Leaves of three. It makes me itch just thinking about it. I didn't touch any nature (aaaachoooo!)
Pretty wildflowers.
Quinn was playing with a ladybug on the beach.
Isn't this a cool picture? I love the way the sand looks, and that yellow thing is a sea sponge.

The kids had a great time playing on a natural teeter-totter.

Read my next post for part two of our hike.
