A Way To Spend A Sunday

It's been a great weekend. Lots of relaxing, lots of being able to do something I wanted to do-as opposed to cleaning other people's rooms. Lots of sleeping in. Lots of boy happiness-one happy to be back from camping (but tired), and one happy to have his brother back from camping. The only glitch was that our dinner plans didn't work out quite as planned. The plan was to have dinner with Kevin's sister's family, and his parents. There are sickies at my sister-in-laws house, so that meant dinner was only with Kevin's parents. We ate at a place called Oregano's. We still had fun, but the boys were bummed that they couldn't see their cousins. We are hoping all will feel better soon. Hopefully a reschedule is in the works.
I sewed strips, and more strips, and more strips today, and I am STILL not done. Remember that quilt I started at the beginning of the summer? Well, I am just now getting around to working on it. I really want to finish it. I love the colors. Hoping to finish the strips tonight, so that I can start cutting them into blocks, and sew them together in my free time-ha, yeah, whatever.
There's nothing like playing inside an ottoman. It's great that Quinn fits so nicely, and even greater that my in-laws didn't mind him being inside.
Feast your eyes on this! My mother-in-law is working on this, "Quilt Challenge," for her quilt class. Isn't it cute? I LOVE the color combo-black, white and turquoise. Houses too! I love houses! I am hoping she will GIVE it to me! Hint hint hint.

Have a closer look. LOVE it. Let's all hope that some day it can come to live with me. No pressure, Donna.

Word of the Day: Rain. It rained a lot tonight. I love it. I love the smell. Of course nobody knows how to drive in it, but I didn't let them wreck my love for the rain. Rain rain, don't go away.

Love your quilt project. It has been forever and day since I last worked on quilts. Recently I have had the itch to sew something. Anything. Must be my inner Martha aching to be let out. Yeah.
